MOURNING IN THE CEMETERY DVD RELEASE PARTY TO BE HELD MARCH 5th AT High NOON SALOON
Makeshift Media Group will be hosting a DVD release party for its latest film Mourning in the Cemetery on March 5th at High Noon Saloon. Doors open at 12:30 and show starts at 1 p.m.
Mourning in the Cemetery is the 4th and final film in The Raven James Chronicles Volume One, a short film series by filmmaker Ben Wydeven. The series began in 2014 with the release of A Hot Summer Chill. Volume Two begins production in April.
Highlights of show will include a music performance by Joey Broyles, a screening of Mourning in the Cemetery and casting announcements for the next film in the series.
Product ion details on The Raven James Chronicles Volume Two including film titles and casting will be announced at the event on March 5th.
As of March 5th, Volume One is available on Two DVD’s or one Blu Ray and features behind the scenes featurettes, bloopers and music videos. DVD's and Blu Ray's can be preordered on our website's store.

June 28, 2016 - Principal Photography has wrapped for Mourning in the Cemetery
Production has wrapped on "Mourning in the Cemetery." While we still have a few smaller scenes and shots to capture, the bulk of the film is complete. We will now be focusing on the post production phase of the film, including the many visual effects. The film is expected to be released in September or October.

Production has begun on the next 3 installments of The Raven James Chronicles, starting with "Mourning in the Cemetery." The next two films, currently untitled will be the first two films of Volume II. There are a total of 3 planned Volumes, with each volume being approximately 4 films each. Daniel Harris reprises his role as Raven James. For the role of Benny, Josh Paffel will replace Nathan Lowe as Benny.
The Raven James Chronicles will once again be produced by Ben Wydeven, John Gordon and Adam Williams and directed by Wydeven. Volume II's films will be written by a variety of new writers with Gordon and Wydeven continuing to contribute to the screenplays. As with the previous films, the production will collaborate with a local musician to create an original song and music video for each film. The score will once again be composed by Tony Larson and Justin Bright.

Joshua Paffel to play Benny Cavoto in next film... & beyond.

Nathan Lowe played the role for A Hot Summer Chill and Demon in the Waiting Room. Nathan took on the role after the original actor dropped out at the last minute.
Paffel has most recently appeared several plays including Boys in the Band, Psycho Beach Party and the critically acclaimed A Death of a Salesman.

After a heavy night of drinking, Raven encounters an aggressive visitor... in his subconscious. Demon in the Waiting Room will have a much darker tone that A Hot Summer Chill. Also in production is The Waiting Room, a companion piece to "Demon." Both films are being filmed back to back. Demon in the Waiting Room will have a much darker tone that A Hot Summer Chill. The Waiting Room will be filmed sometime in June or July. Both films will be release this fall.
The score will once again be composed by Tony Larson and Justin Bright.

It's official! The Raven James Chronicles: A Hot Summer Chill has a release date! 7:00p.m. on May 3rd, 2014 at Badger Bowl in Madison.
The premiere will feature musical performances by Stereo Side Effect, Karen Wheelock and Joey Broyles, who all contributed songs to the motion picture soundtrack.
Tickets are $10 at the door and include snacks and beer. DVD's of the film will be available at the show for purchase.

The crew of A Hot Summer Chill switched gears this weekend to produce a music video for the Stereo Side Effect The Devil's Luck.
The video will feature Daniel Harris and Nathan Lowe reprising their role as Raven and Benny, as well as some ghosts as Raven sits at the bar and Benny tends bar.
The video was shot on location at the Badger Bowl VIP room in Madison and was directed by A Hot Summer Chill director Ben Wydeven.
