The Raven James Chronicles?
In the beginning of The Raven James Chronicles, Raven is apprehensive about letting Benny help him deal with ghosts. By Drowning Demons, Raven and Benny have been working together for a few months when they attempt to help lost spirits in a former mob hangout. The Raven James Chronicles film series is divided into Volumes with each volume representing approximately one month. Mourning in the Cemetery, the final film in Volume One will be released in October 2016.
How does Drowning Demons fit into the timeline?
In A Hot Summer Chill, we see their relationship unfold as Raven eventually begins to face his fear of communicating with the needy dead instead of drowning them out.
What is The Waiting Room?
The gate can be see in the beginning of A Hot Summer Chill. It falls over and a spirit is able to briefly confront Raven before he can take a long swig of booze.
Within the hallway is a room (a doctor’s office) where Raven “wakes up” within his subconscious, as seen in the beginning of The Waiting Room.
Raven’s only solution to keeping ghosts away is to drink. As long as he maintains a certain threshold, the gate remains solid and the ghosts are kept back. But when he lapses, they sometimes manage to get though (as in the case of Demon in the Waiting Room)
A recently deceased spirit Raven cautiously approaches the gate. The gate falls when Raven is sober.

After the accident, Benny stopped drinking and became fascinated with Raven's ability. Despite knowing very little about Raven's past, Benny invited Raven to stay at his house. Now sober, Benny reluctantly feeds Raven's paranormal sorrows with booze, but also watches out for him and encourages to help the ghosts who cause him grief. |
